Association Objectives
The Australian Greeting Card Association is a representative group for the Greeting Card Industry.Formed in 1991, its members are drawn from publishers, printers, suppliers, designers, photographers, all with a common interest in the growth and development of the Greeting Card Industry in Australia.
The activities of the Association are best illustrated in the following Mission Statement and Goals:

To increase the per capita consumption of greeting cards in Australia.Association Goals
- Educate children as to the benefits of greeting cards as a form of communication
- Work as a lobby group to influence government decision that affect our industry
- Add value to membership of the Australian Greeting Card Association.
AGCA Code of Conduct proposal for recommendation concerning Charity Greeting card publication especially the amount or percentages actually received by the Charity in question. Potential challenges in this area necessitate a pro- active stance.
- Ongoing maintenance of relationships with Australia Post re postal regulations and postage rates, especially the retention of the Christmas card postage discount.
- Ongoing participation with International Greeting Card Associations to keep abreast of International issues and opportunities for members.
- The AGCA is an association of all members. We encourage all members to contribute thoughts and ideas on where the association could be of value to them. This may help the AGCA become more focussed on member needs.
As an industry body it is imperative that no collusion takes place between members. The following statement is read at the beginning of every meeting of the AGCA
"It is extremely important as a formal body that no collusion is to take place or seen to take place between members.
If there is any doubt in the mind of any member at any time,
then the member is free to leave that session of the meeting and this action is to be minuted."
